Enpowering Women :
The Penan Women Project
Going back to South East Asia to visit my family each year, I got to know The Penan Women Project. An indigenous tribe in Sarawak, the Penan women are known for their weaving. Each bag is individually handwoven by one of the Penan women. The Penan Women Project helps these women earn income from crafting bags to support their community in their healthcare, education, and agriculture programs. With every sale of the handcrafted bags, you are supporting these artisans to provide for their families and their community, and it also seeks to empower them to become independent, and a vital role in the Penan community.Shop to give back.
